The Veranda at Ishiuchi Maruyama
The Veranda Ishiuchi Maruyama is a new view spot where you can fully enjoy the charm of snow-capped mountains, even if you don't ski or snowboard.
After about a 7-minute ride on the Sunrise Express, when you disembark from the gondola, a panoramic view of the silver-white Uonuma Plain and the Echigo Sanzan mountains will unfold before your eyes.
The park will offer a variety of spaces to enjoy, including a grand terrace and cafe where you can enjoy the magnificent winter scenery, as well as a dome tent and snow activity area.
Grand Terrace
Enjoy the silvery white world woven by the magnificent nature from the grand terrace, which boasts a floor area of 232 m2 and is one of the largest in the area.
There are also photo spots where you can become one with the snowy scenery, allowing you to create photogenic memories of your trip.
Dome tent
The snow igloo-shaped dome tent combines comfort with a sense of unity with nature, creating a special moment on the snowy mountains.
The room is equipped with tables and chairs, allowing you to relax in a private space with your family and friends while gazing at the snowy scenery.
Snow Terrace with a spectacular view
From the Snow Terrace, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the snow-covered Uonuma Plain and the Echigo Sanzan mountains.
If the conditions are right, you can see the sea of clouds and the Echigo mountains dyed in the sunset.

This cafe is the centerpiece of The Veranda Ishiuchi Maruyama.
We offer a wide variety of meals and sweets in a relaxed and calm atmosphere.
On bad weather days, you can relax in the warmth of the bonfire.

ROKKA will open next to the Grand Terrace building in autumn 2023.
With the theme of experiencing the food culture of a snowy country, the restaurant offers original dishes and drinks made with koji seasoning from the local sake brand "Hakkaisan."

Is it cold at The Veranda Ishiuchi Maruyama?
The Veranda Ishiuchi Maruyama is located on the snowy mountainside at an altitude of approximately 550m, with temperatures ranging from -5 to 10°C.
If you are enjoying the outdoor area, please wear warm clothing and snow boots.
You can also rent snowwear and snow boots at the resort center.
Are pets allowed?
During the winter season, pets are not permitted inside the ski resort or any facilities operated by the ski resort.
If you have unavoidable reasons, please contact the ski resort in advance.
Can I bring food and drinks?
As a general rule, you are not allowed to bring anything into The Veranda Ishiuchi Maruyama other than food sold for takeout within the ski resort. If you have a compelling reason not to bring anything into the resort, please consult with staff.
Please dispose of any trash produced during your meal in the designated area or take it home with you.
Do I need to make a reservation for the dome tent?
Dome tents are available for reservation in 60-minute increments. If there are spaces available, we will accept reservations on the day, but we recommend that you apply in advance.
What hours are the dome tents available for use?
You will be asked to leave the tent once the reserved time (60 minutes) has elapsed. However, if there are no further reservations, you can extend your stay in 60-minute increments (for a fee). We also offer a premium plan that allows you to rent an entire dome tent for the entire day during business hours on the day.
What does a round-trip gondola ticket include?
The "Gondola Round-Trip Ticket" includes access to the cafe (Grand Terrace), Snow Terrace, and snow activities within the area.
If you have a lift ticket for one day or more, you can enjoy the contents in the area just like with a round-trip gondola ticket. If you would like to use the dome tent, please purchase a separate "Dome Tent Ticket."
