Towards a new ski resort in Japan
Opened in 1949.
Long before the ski boom, many snow lovers have been excited by the charms of this dynamic mountain.

The Veranda Ishiuchi Maruyama is a new observation spot in Ishiuchi Maruyama where you can experience the snowy mountains without skiing.
The park is centered around the observation terrace and cafe, which are the largest in the symbolic area, and also features dome tents and activities, allowing you to enjoy your own snowy mountain experience in the open, silvery world of the Uonuma Plain and the Echigo mountains.
Access
It takes about 80 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Echigo Yuzawa.
It takes about 10 minutes from the station by free shuttle bus.
By car, it takes about 120 minutes from Nerima IC on the Kanetsu Expressway to Shiozawa Ishiuchi IC.
From there, it's just a five-minute drive on a flat road with no mountain passes to reach the destination, making it easily accessible by car or train.
