The Sunrise Express is the world's most advanced combination lift that opened at Ishiuchi Maruyama in 2018, connecting the foot of the mountain to the middle of the mountain in one go.
This is a combined lift that combines a 10-passenger gondola cabin and a 6-passenger chairlift on one line.
In addition to using the regular chairlift, beginners and non-skiers can also access the spectacular views from the comfort of a heated gondola cabin on the same track.

10-passenger gondola cabin

The spacious, open cabin is equipped with wide, well-cushioned leather seats.
The cabin is also fully fitted with windows, allowing you to enjoy a panoramic view of the Uonuma Plain.

6-seater chair

The hooded six-passenger chairs feature bucket seats that fit each individual's body and are equipped with seat heaters, providing a level of comfort never before seen in a chairlift.
In addition, the floor of the lift station is made of loading carpet to support passengers, making it easier for beginners to ride and improving safety.

When you get off the gondola, you can see the magnificent view of the Uonuma Plain below you.
