Overview

Kids' first ski lesson

Skidz Camp is a lesson program that supports children's skiing debut, with the aim of making them feel that "skiing is fun!" and "I want to ski more!", and helping them to fall in love with skiing and snowboarding.
At Ishiuchi Maruyama, you can experience the methods cultivated at four ski resorts that run Skidz Camps across the country.

Make your skiing debut on a dedicated slope!
The first lesson starts on a dedicated Skidz Camp slope with a snow escalator, so even children who can't ride the lift can feel at ease.
You don't need to ski! Let's start by playing in the snow!
We also offer a "Play in the Snow" plan for children who are not yet ready to ski. There is also a plan that includes lunch, so parents can enjoy skiing with peace of mind.
Small class sizes and detailed lessons
Lessons are held in small groups, and instructors will provide attentive instruction tailored to each child's level, supporting their progress.

About the lesson

Lessons are for children aged 4 to 9. Lessons are conducted in a step-up format to suit your child's level. The snow play plan is suitable for children aged 3 and over!

Please be aware of the following before applying for Skidz Camp.

[Usage Notes]

When participating in the Skidz Camp, please comply with the terms and conditions set out in the "Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort Terms and Conditions (Ski Resort, Other Facilities, etc.)" and "Management Area Map," and when using the cableway facilities, please follow the "Cableway Business Transportation Terms and Conditions."
Due to weather, snow accumulation, natural disasters, equipment failure, etc., lessons may be changed or canceled.
The instructor and Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort will not be held responsible for any accidents or injuries that occur during lessons, or for any damage or injury to the body or property of other students or third parties, except in cases of intentional or gross negligence on the part of the instructor.
Generally, instructors will not adjust ski equipment, but they may do so if they deem it necessary.
Candy, chocolate, cookies, etc. may be handed out as snacks.
The lunch plates served at lunchtime are not allergy-friendly.

Advance online reservation

Skidz Camp prioritizes advance online applications.
We will start accepting applications as soon as the coach's schedule is decided, so if applications have not yet started, please wait a little longer.
Advance reservations must be made by 2:16 PM two days prior to the date of use.

Online reservations are made by request, and we will first receive your request, confirm availability, and then respond to you.
Please note that it may take a day or two for us to respond.
There is a capacity limit for each lesson.
Once the maximum number of participants is reached, the reservation site will be closed, and we may not be able to accommodate requests for multiple people to attend the course.

Skidz Camp prioritizes online advance applications, so on-site registration may be accepted depending on the status of advance applications. If you would like to register on the day, please come to the Skidz Camp/Snow Play Park reception building located in Central Parking Lot 1.

*We do not accept telephone applications on the day.

On the day of the event, please come to the Skidz Camp/Snow Play Park reception building located in the central entrance parking lot.
We will provide you with information and handle payments for the day, and once the check-in is complete, we will prepare you to head out onto the snow by the meeting time.
- Please allow yourself plenty of time to arrive at the lesson on time, taking into consideration rental application times and congestion.
- If you do not register by the appointed time on the day, your reservation will be cancelled.

The meeting place is the reception building of Skidz Camp and Yukiasobi Park. Once gathered, everyone will be divided into classes and do some exercises.

What is the target age range?: The snow play plan is for ages 3 and up, and the ski lessons are for ages 4 to 9.

What time does reception start?: Registration will be held in the Skidz Camp building from 8:30 to 9:00 for the morning and full-day sessions, and from 12:15 to 13:00 for the afternoon session.
*Not located within the resort center.
At other times, staff will be absent due to lessons.
Please note that if you are renting, it will take time to adjust the size, so please make sure to check in well in advance.

What time does the lesson start and end?: The morning session is from 10:00 to 12:00, and the afternoon session is from 13:30 to 15:30.

How much does it cost?: Half-day (2 hours) is 8,500 yen, full-day (4 hours) is 13,000 yen, and full-day (4 hours) with lunch is 15,500 yen.
If you would like a lift ticket, it will cost an additional 1,500 yen. The price is the same for all classes.
The snow play plan is 4,000 yen for a half-day (2 hours), 8,000 yen for a full day (4 hours), and 10,500 yen for a full day (4 hours) with lunch.

Can I rent one? And how much does it cost?: If you apply online in advance, your luggage will be prepared at the Skidz Camp reception building.
Otherwise, please use the resort center or nearby rental facilities.
Helmets are available to rent for free.
Please note that small items such as gloves and hats are not available for rental within the resort center.
Rental discount coupons can be used for rentals within the resort center.

Do I need an appointment?: Yes. Advance registration is required for Skidz Camp.
Please make your reservation by 2:16 PM two days before the class date.
We will accept same-day applications if there are available reservations, but please be aware that this may be difficult as there are very few cancellations.
Please note that we cannot accept phone calls or answer inquiries regarding reservation status on the day.

Can parents and children take the course together?: Attendance is limited to children only.

What should parents do during class time?: Parents can enjoy skiing and snowboarding and observe their children's lessons.

Do I need to purchase a lift ticket separately?: We also offer ski lesson plans that include a lift ticket. For an additional 1,500 yen on top of the lesson fee, you will receive a lift ticket that can be used until the ski resort closes on the day of the lesson.

This is my first time skiing, is that okay?: Yes, it's fine.
First, you will get to experience the snow, and then you will be divided into classes according to your level.
You will take lessons with friends at the same level and be able to step up as you improve.

Can you teach me snowboarding?: No. The Ishiuchi Maruyama venue only offers skiing programs.

Where do you eat lunch?: After the morning lesson, you will be served in the Skidz Camp reception building.
Children can come alone with peace of mind as they will be accompanied by a coach.

Are there changing rooms and coin lockers?: They are available on the second floor of the Resort Center or in a prefabricated building in the parking lot.

Should I wear a helmet?: Helmets are mandatory at Skidz Camp, so be sure to wear one to protect your head in case of a fall.
If you don't have one, we can rent one for free.

Do I need goggles?: The UV rays on the slopes are very strong. We also recommend wearing goggles to protect your eyes in the snow, rain, or if you fall. We recommend goggles that are compatible with helmets.
